Surface or Substantial?

Whats important to you?  A fine body, dynamic smile, always dressed to impress.  Basically when you need to show off you know you need this person with you.  That person that makes you go; Is it getting sexy in here?

Or The best personality, attractive, intelligent, articulate, attentive and a total addition at any business function.  That person you know your parents would be so happy to see you with to know you were in good hands.

Well hopefully when we are choosing a perspective mate we are not so extreme of one persona or the other.  But it is a problem if your only selecting based on one criteria or the other.  So which is it?  Surface or Substantial.  I personally like a combination of both.  Someone who is dynamic!  Variety is the spice of life so a perfect blend of the right stuff makes Jane a happy girl and Jack an ecstatic boy!  I'd like to hear what you think about choosing Surface people or Substantial.  Don't worry about sounding superficial I promise I wont hold it against you.

Good post --- If I wanted to have a fun night out, I'd rent a sports-car like a Ferrari...If I wanted something reliable with good gas mileage that will take me the long haul I'd probably buy something standard like a Nissan Altima. Likewise, superficial "hot" men are usually only good for short-term leases. When you want something real, superficial things are less important as you're making a greater investment. I think one has to first define the purpose behind their dating. Are you dating to have fun? Or are you dating because you're looking for something meaningful that will lead to marriage? Fine looks, fit physique and a charming personality are not indications that the man will be a good husband or father. It doesn't even mean he's a good person. Yes, physical attraction is important for chemistry but looks are certainly not everything. In closing, I'll use the analogy of the sport-car vs the standard car: (1)Don't expect to get the same gas-mileage, reliability or efficiency from a short-term lease on a sports-car that you'd get with a more reliable standard vehicle. (2)You wouldn't put a down payment on a rental car, neither would you invest in maintenance or upgrades on a rental car. So remember, guard your emotions because when the lease is up, it's over!
